Gourmet Coffee BeansWe’ve all been there before: You woke up this morning, went to make your pot of coffee as per usual before getting in the shower, and found out you had forgotten to buy more coffee last night.  No problem, you’ll just take a quick shower and run by a fast food place and grab a cup to go, right?  You rush through your morning ritual, brave the horrors of the fast food drive-thru lane at breakfast (when it seems as if no one else has had their coffee, either), and get an extra large cup of something that vaguely resembles coffee.  The taste is…well…this is a family-friendly blog, so I won’t say what it tastes like.

Do you know why it tasted that way?  It wasn’t made from gourmet coffee beans. That answer seems entirely too simple, I know, but it’s the truth.  Go to your local grocery store and buy any of the beans you see on the shelf, then go home and run them through your coffee maker.  It probably tastes better than the fast food coffee you had this morning, but it’s still not much better, right?

Now go and buy gourmet coffee beans from a trusted source, such as the Amazon links I have in the sidebar (which are obviously an affiliate link for me, I do have to make money after all ).  If you don’t have one, pick up a French press as well.  Now brew that coffee at home.  It should take roughly the same amount of time, but I can guarantee you that the results are far superior to anything you’ve tried so far!

Now if you’d like a true treat, check out flavored gourmet coffee beans.  I’m a hazelnut person myself, but you can get vanilla, chocolate, berry, and a ton of other flavors.  The flavoring itself is added during the roasting process, not during the brewing process, so the flavor is locked into the bean when you purchase it.

Another treat you may enjoy, even if you’re not a coffee drinker yourself, could be gourmet chocolate covered coffee beans.  Just imagine, the robust and full flavor of the gourmet coffee beans mixed with chocolate.  The thought alone is enough to get me to go out to the store and get some right now!  In addition, eating coffee beans puts an extra shot of unadulterated caffeine into your system.  Some of the caffeine is always taken away during the brewing process, and you’re obviously skipping that step by eating the bean.  Gourmet chocolate covered coffee beans can be good for a mid-day snack or as an appetizer before your party really gets rolling!
